When it comes to controlling inflammation one of my absolute favorite remedies is a delicious Golden Latte. Personally, I notice more of a benefit in the way my body feels from this drink rather than taking turmeric in capsule form. I like to have these lattes most nights before bed and notice a difference in the way I feel if I go a few days without.
Studies have shown that turmeric also decreases neuroinflammation (precursor for dementia and Alzheimer’s), increases memory, aids in digestion, and boosts the immune system. With all of these health benefits, you can see why it’s one of my favorites!
The pepper might seem strange but it is necessary in order to absorb the herb as turmeric not bioavailable (absorbable) on its own. The stevia, and vanilla are just to make it taste amazing and can be skipped. I prepare it both ways depending on how I feel. Cinnamon has anti inflammatory properties as well as helps to stabilize insulin and increase metabolism function. Ginger is yet another anti inflammatory, digestive aid, and increases serotonin and dopamine!
This cup is packed with benefits and is one of my absolute favorite wellness tools I like to keep in my kit. Enjoy!
*Those on blood thinners should not consume turmeric* always consult with your physician before adding new herbs to your regimen*
